Dr. Thomas Layton is a highly regarded dental professional with a remarkable educational journey and a steadfast dedication to his field. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College in 1990, then pursued further studies at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, NC Dental School, where he was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1994. His ongoing pursuit for enhancing his knowledge and skills is reflected in his wide array of certifications. These include credentials from the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners, Continuum Level V- Pankey Institute, and Mastership- Academy of General Dentistry. Furthermore, he holds a certification in Conscious Sedation from the NC State Board of Examiners and is a proud member of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Layton’s impressive portfolio clearly demonstrates his commitment to providing the highest standard of dental care to his patients.

In addition to his outstanding academic credentials, Dr. Layton’s commitment to his field is demonstrated by his active participation in numerous professional associations. Along with being a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the LD Pankey Alumni Association, he holds the esteemed position of President of the Charlotte Dental Society. Moreover, he is an ICOI member and belongs to both the Queen City and Charlotte Implant Study Club.
